Lea claims that because the majority of her siblings grew up in the same house and she was able to feel like she was raised by more than two people. The family lived in the Starlight Motel all the kids sharing a room. The father of Lea was employed as a janitor in Minneapolis. Family members later relocated to Minneapolis.
