Anna Silk is a Fredericton native, the daughter Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had numerous abilities, which included the ability perform, direct production, create plays as well as teach and serve as director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is from Britain as does her mother, who is a "Turkish Cypriot-English expat." Anna's earliest memories of attending rehearsals for play and observing her mother at working. At the beginning of her career Anna appeared in a number of commercials on television. Anna relocated to Toronto in the fall of 1999 to pursue her acting talents. She eventually settled down in Los Angeles (California) over the next ten years. Seth Cooperman and Anna met in Los Angeles in 2007, in an acting workshop. They became engaged in 2009 after getting married. Anna was converted to Judaism at the beginning of January 2011, and then they re-wed during the Jewish wedding ceremony in Fredericton. Bo's love affair with Lauren, played by Zoie Parker, was showcased on CNN's list of the Top TV Couples of All Time and was named E!'s Top Television Couple for 2013. Entertainment Television.
