Amy Smart was an American model and actress. Amy Smart was born and was raised in California, United States of America. Amy Smart started her modeling career in Italy. Her acting career started in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. Following a long and difficult battle to get a part, she was offered a role as "Starship Troopers" starring in Starship Troopers. At first, it was hard for Amy to transition from modeling to acting. The reason is that most models don't have the ability to act. In the majority of cases, they're given insignificant and small roles. Yet, somehow Amy refused to give up and stepped into bigger roles eventually starting with the TV series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. Then she stepped into main roles for the 2005 romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. It was a huge film at the box office and Amy had finally found the fame she had been trying for for more than a decade. Amy continued to make major films, such as Crank alongside Jason Statham or Shameless in which she was a beloved regular role.
